FMA es completamente fiel hasta ahora。 Creo que el manga no le hace justicia como el anime, no quita que te llegue esas ganas de llorar con cada escena。

Well this sure was an EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL volume!First off with Ed and Al。 I can't imagine the pain of these boys。 I completely understand Al's doubts, but it would be so heartbreaking for Ed to hear them。This novel has it's normal dose of humor which is always cute。 I really enjoy the way they set up the panels。 There's usually always something fun in the background。 Im also continually impressed by how quick the creator can bring in new characters and make them so compelling or interesting。 I Well this sure was an EXTREMELY EMOTIONAL volume!First off with Ed and Al。 I can't imagine the pain of these boys。 I completely understand Al's doubts, but it would be so heartbreaking for Ed to hear them。This novel has it's normal dose of humor which is always cute。 I really enjoy the way they set up the panels。 There's usually always something fun in the background。 Im also continually impressed by how quick the creator can bring in new characters and make them so compelling or interesting。 I loved seeing Winry come back(shout out to the toy doctor!)。 And ofcourse there's Colonel Hughes who's fate is notorious if you've already experienced this series。 So。 much。 pain。 I was pleading for his fate not to come, but at the same time hoping to just get it over with。There's just so much to love about this series, this volume didn't let me down。 Im very excited to continue! 。。。more

his soul placed in a hollow suit of armor that can't feel the touch of others。 As neither of them sacrificed their lives in their entirety, the exchange failed and the boys created an abomination in place of their dead mother。After burning their own home down and dealing with the abomination they created, Edward and his brother enlist themselves in the military to atone for their sins and learn more about the many secrets of alchemy; potentially learning how to recover their original bodies in the process。 While serving in the military, the brothers begin to realize how the wonders of alchemy can be abused for nefarious purposes。 Immortal life can be gained by sacrificing hundreds of innocents souls, wars can be staged and foreign nations can be annihilated under false charges, human experimentation aided by alchemy can lead to unnatural mutations, the world of alchemy is more dark and dangerous than either of them could've bargained for。Fullmetal Alchemist grew on me the longer I read it。 When I first started reading, it seemed like it was going to be generic shounen material, but it gets deeper and darker the further it goes on。 The way it handles political and religious corruption, the dangers of advanced states abusing their technology and resources at the expense of foreign nations caught in the turmoil, and the sad futility of revenge are all very well done。The characters all bear the weight of what alchemy is capable of。 Edward and Alphonse carry the burden of abusing alchemy for selfish purposes。 Their master Izumi loses her womb after attempting to resurrect her dead child。 Scar takes many lives after his entire country is desecrated and gets trapped in a pointless cycle of revenge。 Roy and Riza endure the regret of committing brutal war crimes for the sake of protecting their own nation。 Alchemy creates and destroys in equal measure and no one is free from the consequences of tipping the balance。The fight scenes are flashy and exciting without being too over-the-top because of the dangerous limitations that alchemy involves。 The law of equivalent exchange keeps the power scaling in check and adds plenty of tension to the action。 The female characters are especially well done, all of them are strong and unique in their own way。 The lead heroine Winry being a skilled mechanic, Riza being an honorable warrior of the military, Olivier Armstrong as cold and vicious as the snowy fortress she guards, and that's just a few of them。The villains are an interesting parody of the seven deadly sins。 Each of them represent the darkness and regrets of each of the main characters and they can only be conquered by coming to terms with their own flaws and sins。 The characters having to overcome their personal demons to take on the greater demons trying to overthrow the world from the shadows made the struggles of every single person in the story feel personal。 Every character, no matter how minor had their moments to shine。 Everyone had a vital role to play and the camaraderie between friend and foe alike never felt cheesy or forced。Unlike most shounen series I've read, the final arc was my favorite。 A lot of long-running shounen series have a habit of being dragged out, losing touch with what made them great or breaking their own rules in messy, plot-hole-filled final arcs that leave a lot to be desired。 Fullmetal Alchemist has no lose ends, all characters have complete arcs where they learn and grow from their dark pasts, the romance and comedy are handled well without relying on cheap fanservice, the action scenes are great but they don't overshadow the plot and the final chapters tie everything together beautifully。 It's not my favorite manga by any means as I usually tend to favor seinen, but it's definitely one of the greatest stories to ever come out of the shounen demographic in my opinion。 The ending is a tearjerker but it left me in good spirits。***My Social MediaMy YouTube Channel: https://www。youtube。com/channel/UCPPs。。。My Instagram Account: https://www。instagram。com/michael_sor。。。My Wattpad Account: https://www。wattpad。com/user/Michael-。。。My Twitter Account: https://twitter。com/SorbelloHorrorMy Facebook Account: https://www。facebook。com/michael。sorb。。。 。。。more

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the metaphysics in this story。 Is the human soul immortal? It would seem so at first, because Edward brought Alphonse’s soul back (from wherever)。 Yet, when Envy and Lust destroy the serial killer brothers, they say the brothers were “killed。” Were their souls destroyed? 。。。 or just the bond between their souls and the armor? Also, how is it that a human soul can be bonded to a body of armor at all? That’s metaphysically impossible。 It would seem that some I’m still trying to wrap my head around the metaphysics in this story。 Is the human soul immortal? Also, how is it that a human soul can be bonded to a body of armor at all? That’s metaphysically impossible。 It would seem that something like that would be viewed as an abomination, but no characters are disturbed by Alphonse’s presence。 I do like the fixation that Edward and Al have about getting their bodies back。 It’s very anti-Platonic。 This emphasize on the importance of their human bodies shows that a human is only “complete” as a body-soul composite。 It’s unnatural for a soul to be ripped from the body, which is why we abhor death。 I like the fact that Edward is a Christ figure。 Obviously he’s not a perfect Christ figure, but his actions are meant to resemble Christ。 Evidence of this can be found throughout the artwork。 On various panels throughout the story there are obvious Christian symbols。 One example is on the stone seal in Lab 5 which has a Latin inscription: “Filius Redemptor et Mediator。” Edward sacrifices himself to “resurrect” Alphonse, therefore acting as a savior。 I think the author portrays the differences between men and women really well - especially through the conversation between Winry and Colonel Hughes。 Not enough contemporary stories emphasize the differences because our current stream of thought is a gross extreme towards a pseudo-egalitarianism。 I also appreciate the emphasis on the importance of children。 Rather than leaving children out of the story or disregarding them, the author really emphasizes their place in the world。 Nina’s fate is completely shocking。 Edward’s sense of awe over an unborn life when he meets the pregnant woman is beautiful。 Elicia is doted on by Colonel Hughes。 Not to mention, Edward and Al are basically children (especially Al)。 Overall, young lives play a huge role in this story。 In today’s society children are often overlooked, so the Fullmetal Alchemist world’s view on the importance of children is refreshing。 I’m excited to see how all this develops in the next volumes。 。。。more

I loved this installment of Fullmetal Alchemist, although it was definitely the saddest。 The art style was the same so it was just perfect as always。 This installment was used to set up the rest of the series and you could tell that it was more of a filler manga than a more important one。 Important events did happen, but you can tell that even more are coming later。 My only complaint was that Roy Mustang and his crew were barely in this volume。 If that's the main complaint, then that's pretty go I loved this installment of Fullmetal Alchemist, although it was definitely the saddest。 The art style was the same so it was just perfect as always。 This installment was used to set up the rest of the series and you could tell that it was more of a filler manga than a more important one。 Important events did happen, but you can tell that even more are coming later。 My only complaint was that Roy Mustang and his crew were barely in this volume。 If that's the main complaint, then that's pretty good。 Again, I recommend this wholeheartedly。 Happy Reading everyone!! 。。。more
